P20 is a pre-hardened mold and die steel widely used for plastic injection molds, die casting dies, and general tooling applications. It offers good machinability, excellent polishability, and uniform hardness throughout the section.
P20 is often supplied in the pre-hardened condition (~28-32 HRC), allowing for easy machining and finishing before final polishing and use.
Its toughness, dimensional stability, and wear resistance make it a standard choice for medium- to large-sized tooling where durability and repeatability are important.
