Grade 440C is a high-carbon martensitic stainless steel offering the highest hardness of any stainless steel (up to 60 HRC when heat treated). It provides excellent wear resistance and good corrosion resistance in mild environments. Ideal for bearings, valve seats, knife blades, and high-wear components.
