Alloy 446 is a high-chromium ferritic stainless steel with excellent resistance to high temperature oxidation and scaling. It is primarily used in applications exposed to severe temperatures, such as furnace parts, heat exchangers, and industrial ovens.

Alloy 446 maintains good corrosion resistance in mildly corrosive atmospheres and is titanium stabilized to minimize carbide precipitation, ensuring dimensional stability during welding and high-temperature service.
