S32304 (Lean Duplex 2304) is a low-nickel duplex stainless steel developed as a cost effective alternative to 304L and 316L.

It contains lower nickel and molybdenum than standard duplex grades like 2205, but still provides better strength and improved stress corrosion cracking resistance compared to austenitic grades.

Lean duplex offers approximately double the yield strength of 304/316, allowing for reduced material thickness in structural and pressure applications.

It performs well in moderately corrosive environments, though it is not intended for highly aggressive chloride service like super duplex grades.

Note: Values are in accordance with EN 10088 specifications. Actual mill certs available upon request.
