CZ108 is a general‑purpose brass alloy with a high copper content and moderate zinc (~37%). As an alpha brass, it offers excellent malleability, good corrosion resistance, and very good hot and cold working properties, making it one of the most widely used basis grades for sheet, plate, tube, and formed components.
Its combination of strength, ductility, and formability makes it suitable for applications requiring precise bending, good cold heading characteristics, and reliable performance in mildly corrosive environments. CZ108 can be machined, though slower speeds and light feeds are recommended for best results.
