EN8 is a medium carbon steel widely used for general engineering applications requiring good strength, toughness, and wear resistance.
It is versatile, easily machined in the normalized condition, and can be hardened and tempered for increased strength and wear resistance.
EN8 is commonly used in shafts, bolts, axles, gears, and general structural components where moderate mechanical properties are sufficient.
