CS80 is a high-carbon steel (~0.80%C) designed for high-strength mechanical components where hardness, wear resistance, and fatigue strength are critical. It is commonly used for springs, shafts, pins, and other heavily loaded parts.
CS80 can be hardened and tempered to achieve a high combination of hardness and toughness, while machinability remains moderate in the annealed condition.
