Hydrogen

The hydrogen industry is rapidly expanding to produce, store, transport, and use clean hydrogen as a zero-carbon energy carrier for transport, industry, and power generation.

Materials must resist hydrogen embrittlement, maintain purity, and perform reliably under high pressure and caustic conditions.

Westgate supplies Nickel 200 and 201 in precision coil, sheet, shim, and tube, the preferred grades for hydrogen storage tanks, tankers, pipelines, and high-purity distribution systems because of their outstanding resistance to hydrogen embrittlement.

We also offer complementary 316L, 321 stainless, aluminium extrusions for lightweight frames and skids, and nickel alloys (625, 825) for valves and heat exchangers.
