Aluminium 2014 is a high‑strength, heat‑treatable 2xxx series aluminium alloy developed for aerospace and structural applications where excellent mechanical properties, high strength, and good fatigue resistance are vital. Its strength comes primarily from copper alloying and heat treatment.
While its corrosion resistance is moderate, it is often protected by cladding or coatings when used in aggressive environments. 2014 is well suited to structural components, machined parts, and high‑stress engineering applications.
Typical Specifications:
- AMS 4045 / AMS 4046 – 2014‑T6/T651 sheet and plate
- AMS 4056 – 2014‑T6/T651 extruded bar/rod
- AMS 4033 – 2014‑T6 forgings
Commonly supplied to ASTM B209 (sheet/plate) or equivalent EN standards for general engineering material
Note: Values are in accordance with EN 10088 specifications. Actual mill certs available upon request.
