Titanium Grade 2 is the most widely used commercially pure titanium grade, offering an excellent balance of strength, ductility, corrosion resistance, and weldability. It provides outstanding resistance to seawater, chlorides, and many chemical environments, making it ideal for marine, chemical processing, and desalination applications.

Grade 2 is commonly supplied to ASTM B265, ASTM B348, ASTM B381, and aerospace specifications such as AMS 4902 and AMS 4921, depending on product form.

Although not as strong as alloyed titanium grades (e.g., Grade 5), Grade 2 offers superior formability and ease of fabrication, along with exceptional resistance to crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking in chloride environments.
