Aluminium 7075 is a high-strength, heat-treatable 7xxx series alloy widely used in aerospace and high-performance structural applications. It offers an excellent strength to-weight ratio, good fatigue resistance, and moderate corrosion resistance.

Aerospace grade 7075 is typically supplied in sheet, plate, extrusions, bars, and forgings according to AMS specifications (AMS 4044/4045/4046 for sheet/plate; AMS 4122–4124 for bars; AMS 4154–4167 for extrusions; AMS 4126–4141 for forgings).

For general engineering or non aerospace use, ASTM B209 (sheet/plate) and ASTM B221 (extrusions and bars), as well as BS L95/L88/L160 series, may also apply.

7075 achieves its high strength through heat treatment (T6, T651, or T7351 tempers). Due to its moderate corrosion resistance, it is often anodized or clad when exposed to aggressive environments.

Note: Values are in accordance with EN 10088 specifications. Actual mill certs available upon request.
