Retirement Announcement: Gary Mountford, Financial Director and Co-Founder

It is with a mixture of pride and sadness that we announce the retirement of Gary Mountford, our Financial Director and one of the founding members of the Westgate Group.

Gary co-founded the Westgate Group in 2006 alongside Andy Hattersley and Darren Gould. Together, the three founders built the business from its early beginnings into the successful and respected group of specialist metal companies it is today. Over the past 20 years, Gary’s financial expertise, integrity, and dedication have been instrumental in shaping the company’s growth and stability.

His careful stewardship, sharp insight, and unwavering commitment to the company’s core values have helped establish the strong foundations on which Westgate Stainless & Alloys, Westgate Coil & Processing, Westgate Aluminium Extrusion, and Westgate Aerospace now stand.

Gary has decided to retire in June 2026 to spend more time with his family and pursue personal interests. While we will miss his presence and wise counsel at Westgate, we fully support his well-earned retirement and wish him every happiness for the future.
